Duplex stainless steel has austenite and ferrite biphasic structure, and ferrite and austenite each account for about 50%, generally less than the minimum phase content needs to reach 30%.Therefore, it has both the characteristics of austenitic stainless steel and ferrite stainless steel, duplex stainless steel has good resistance to chloride pitting and gap pitting, excellent mechanical properties, in some conditions, the yield strength of austenitic stainless steel is more than twice higher than that of austenitic stainless steel, thermal conductivity is higher than that of austenitic stainless steel, plasticity, toughness is better than ferrite.
